Owl post has arrived

HSKS3 Swap - This owl post arrived today from Lissette of Gryffindor. There is the felted Ravenclaw bag and the cute Ravenclaw stitch markers. And of course there is the Chocolate Frog and bag of Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans. The yarn is very soft and I look forward to knitting up a pair of socks. I am not quite sure what type of sock yarn it is as there was no ball band on the yarn. But it really is soft. Thank you Lissette!!!

Hogwarts Sock Swap II - This owl post arrived yesterday from Matilda Edgecombe of Slytherin. I love the socks!!! They are incredibly soft and fit perfectly. I don’t think I have ever seen that sock yarn but should be fun to knit up with. I always like to work with new yarns. There is a beaded book mark sitting on top of the blue fabric thingy (not quite sure what it is but it’s pretty). Lastly, there is a tape measure (always handy), a sock pattern from Fiber Trends, and my favorite Pumpkin candies from Brach’s. That candy is one of the reasons I look forward to Halloween each year. One more thing, the one card that every Ravenclaw would love - that of Rowena Ravenclaw - the founder of Ravenclaw House.

Sock update

One sock down and one to go... I really love how these two colors look together and I am not even in Slytherin. But I am thinking about making me a pair in Ravenclaw colors. These socks will be done this week as they need to go to their new home out east somewhere.

Slytherin socks

I didn't get much done on the other two pairs of socks that I am currently working on. Right now I am focusing on getting this Slytherin sock done for the Hogwarts Sock Swap II.

Owl Post arrives

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Here is the best package for the first round of the Hogwarts Sock Swap!!! Huge thanks go to Robin of Knit Witch. Check out the really cool Hogwarts bag. That is begging to go out with me when I go to the PDX Knit Bloggers events or any other crafty events - like the Oregon Flock & Fiber Festival this September down in Canby, Oregon.

The bag was filled with goodies which include:
2 boxes of Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans
2 hanks of Knit Picks Gloss in Concord Grape
1 Ravenclaw keychain
1 Harry Potter barrel pen - which I gave to The Chief
2 sets of size 1 DPNs - one from Knit Picks (2.5mm) and the other Chiao Goo bamboo (2.25mm)
1 mini soak wool wash in Flora
1 set of Ravenclaw stitch markers
1 pair of Ravenclaw socks that went on my feet the minute I took them out of the bag. She had used Cherry Tree Hill yarn in the Moody Blues colorway.

So again, a big huge thank you to Robin and also to Rebecca for organizing the swap. Now I can wait patiently for Saturday to arrive and with it the last book in the Harry Potter series.
